Trend: Maxi Skirts

Maxi skirts. You hate them or you love them. I must say that in the beginning I wasn't a big fan at all. I thought: "No, absolutely not for me. Way too granny-ish." However, at the moment, I am a BIG fan. And surprise surprise: they're extremely easy to make!  Since the plisse skirt I was so excited about isn't that easy to make as I thought (as a matter of fact it is really HARD to make, according to my mum) I will forget about that and just make an easy floaty one like the ones on the pictures above. If it all works out maybe I will show it to you on my blog. I'm still not sure whether I'm going to make a maxi or a midi (right below the knee). Maybe I'll make both. We'll see.

New // Leopard Bag

Bags. A girl can't have enough of those. You sure can imagine I couldn't resist this one when I saw this beautiful leopard bag in the sale at Zara. Isn't she just gorgeous? I can't wait to wear it!

My birthday wish: Dji Dji Italia

The first of August I will turn 17. Of course I already made a little wishlist and these gorgeous coin-necklaces are on top of my list. They're from Dji Dji Italia. This brand has a beautiful selection of coins in different colours and shapes. They're pretty expensive but aren't they pretty? You can start with one coin and add more coins every once in a while. I still have to show them to my parents and I think I can start saving so I can buy one myself as I think my parents won't be very enthusiastic if they see the pricetags....... Though It is not such a big problem since I have a bunch of other things on my (never-ending) wishlist ;-)

Went shopping this saturday with my Mum and I came home with only a pair of grey jeans... Too bad I didn't find the perfect plissé skirt. Saw one at Zara but it was way too long. However I noticed something else I like very much. The jumpsuit! It's perfect for summer. The short version is my favourite. Didn't buy one because I have to save my money for my trip to Stockholm in August... Which one is your favourite?

She's got style: Eva Longoria

Put on a simple jeans, a top and a pair of killer heels and you have a perfect casual yet super chique outfit. Eva Longoria is one of my favourite celebritys who can wear such a simple, casual outfit and yet look so stylish. She always finds the perfect balance between to much and too simple.

Look of the week: Zana Rassi

Love Zanna Rassi, love the look, love her style.

So now something totally different: today I reveived my new bag from Cowboysbag. The "Bolton". I ordered it in olive and it's perfect. Such a beautiful neutral colour...  I'll show you some pictures of it soon. Stay tuned!

Zara collection May 2011

During my (online) hunting for the perfect plissé skirt I discovered the new May collection from Zara on the website. Looks good, doesn't it? Makes me become very greedy. I have to admit I am not a big fan of the golden skirt but most of the other stuff are gorgeous. I love the prints and the bright coloured items like the red skirt.

What's your opinion about the May collection?

I'm in love...

I want this dress on the first picture SO bad! I adore it; it's perfect. The dress is H&M but unfortunately it isn't for sale anymore. In fact it hasn't been for sale for about two years since it's a dress from the 2009 collection... (How did I miss this dress?)

The second picture I saw on a blog and (guess what) I fell in love again. It has the same (plissé) rinkle effect the dress from H&M has. I love it. Like really LOVE it. I already saw this kind of skirts before but most of them were longer versions.  I like the length of the skirt on this picture way more!

So this saturday (when I go shopping with my mum) my hunt for the perfect plisse skirt/dress will begin. If I don't find one I think I'll try making one myself. All I have to do is find a nice fabric and start sewing!

Random inspiration

Sources: Streetfsn, weheartit

Just some random inspiration. I love the jacket on the last photo, though I wouldn't wear it myself. The jacket on the third photo I'd definitely wear. I love the strong shoulders.

Which photograph is your favourite?

Beautiful Blazers

1. Jacket - modekungen.se
2. Jacket - H&M
3. Blazer Dion Lee - net-a-porter.com
4. Blazer Malene Birger - net-a-porter.com
5. Jacket - H&M
6. Jacket Chloe - matchesfashion.com

I have this thing for blazers... If my budget allowed me I would have had one in every single colour. This summer I would like to add a pink/light-coloured one to my wardrobe. I haven't found the right one yet but I I'll keep
searching :) Maybe I will be lucky this Saturday when I'm in Utrecht with my mum. We are going to shop till we drop, haha.

I already looked on the internet for some inspiration. Unfortunately the blazers I like the most (no. 3, 4 and 6) are way too expensive. However, they're definitely worth showing.

Which blazer do you like most?

Love,
Janycka

Brand: Mina UK

Hi there!

Last week I went shopping and discovered this beautiful brand. It's called Mina UK. Have you heard of it before?

They have great clothes. I'll show you some of my favourite pieces.

Source: minauk.com

If you are as excited as I am about this brand you should definitely take a look on their online webshop http://www.minauk.com/ . They also have a boutique in Central Londen where you'll find these beautiful clothes. If you are - just like me - living in the Netherlands the shop "Le Ballon" is the place to be. They have establishments in Amersfoort, Apeldoorn, Arnhem, Breda, Den Bosch, Ede, Eindhoven, Eschede, Nijmegen, Utrecht and Veenendaal.

What do you think of this brand? Leave a message if you like and let me know!

Let me introduce myself...

Hello there!

Welcome on my first and brand new fashionblog :)
Thank you so much for visiting!

Like I said, this is my first blog. I have been following (fashion)blogs
for quite some time now and I thought it was time to make my own.

The reason why I started this blog is because I like fashion and everything
that comes with it. Blogging is becoming more and more popular and of course
I can't stay behind! I'll try to post as often as I can and show you my personal style, inspiring photos, my new fashionfinds and much more!

Love,
Janycka
